Bishop Charles E. Ware, Sr.,

May 30, 1965 - February 17, 2025

Bishop Charles E. Ware Sr. was the founder of New Birth Christian Center, Inc. A native of Stockton, California, he dedicated his life to fostering salvation and deliverance within the community. His enduring prayer was to establish a sacred space for worship and Christian guidance for both children and adults. For over 28 years, God has faithfully answered this prayer.

Renowned as an anointed biblical preacher and teacher, Bishop Ware was also exceptionally talented in music, which became a vibrant aspect of the N.B.C.C. ministry. His unique gifts and anointing enabled him to open doors for ministry opportunities across the nation.

Bishop Ware received his heavenly reward when he was called home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2025. His legacy endures through his wife, children, grandchildren, and the ministry he built. He will be profoundly missed.

Pastor La Wanda Ware,

Fondly referred to as Pastor L, she is the Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of New Birth Christian Center, Inc., where she has collaborated with her husband for 41 years. Pastor L shares her husband’s vision and is deeply passionate about ministering to women across diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. She believes that women can lead productive and fulfilling lives by embracing their God-given identities.

Pastor L has been blessed with the opportunity to share this message not only across the United States but also in various countries worldwide. As Senior Pastor, her ongoing mission is to “Take this Glorious Gospel from the Neighborhood to the Nations,” guiding the congregation and community that the Lord has entrusted to her.
